Bill O'Connell Named Head Football Coach

Bill O'Connell, a nine-year football assistant at Coyle & Cassidy High School in Taunton, Mass., has been hired to serve as head football coach, physical education teacher, and chair of the health, wellness, and fine, applied, and theater arts department at Sandwich High School.  
Bill played high school and college football and holds bachelors and masters degrees from Bridgewater State University. During his tenure at Coyle & Cassidy High School, Bill served as a co-offensive coordinator, a varsity assistant working primarily with receivers, running backs, and defensive backs, the junior varsity head coach, and the freshman head coach. He holds a number of certifications/licenses including MIAA Coaching, First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, Strength & Conditioning Certification, and Mass. 

DESE Principal/Asst. Principal License. Bill and his wife Ingrid have two daughters, ages 7 and 5, and reside in Dighton, Mass.
