Tomasini Promoted to Varsity Baseball Head Coach

The Sandwich High School department of athletics has announced the promotion of their junior varsity baseball coach to the position of head varsity baseball coach for the upcoming season.
Brian Tomasini, a three-sport student-athlete and 2007 graduate of Sandwich High School, has been hired to replace Richard Ferris as head varsity baseball coach. Brian, who also coaches boys junior varsity basketball and junior varsity golf at Sandwich High School, participated in soccer, cross country, basketball, and baseball while attending high school. Following graduation, he attended Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. where he earned a bachelors degree in History. Last summer, Brian served as an assistant coach with the Hyannis Harborhawks of the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League, and will do so again this year.

“Brian bleeds Blue Knight blue and is well-respected by ever member of our community including student-athletes, faculty, and parents,” stated Administrator for Athletics, Neil Murphy. “I’m excited for him and the future of our baseball program.”

“I’d also like to thank Richard Ferris for his commitment and dedication to our baseball student-athletes for the past two seasons,” Murphy added. “Dick is a true gentleman, a knowledgeable baseball coach, and has served this region very well for many years.”

The first permissible day for spring sport practice is Monday, March 16th.
