Joseph Tarantello Named STEM Academy Coed Cross Country Coach

Joseph Tarantello comes to Sandwich Public Schools after serving 4 years at New Milford High School in Connecticut. Joseph has been hired to serve as the Head Coach of the coed STEM Cross Country team and is the new Instructional Technology teacher at Sandwich High School.  

Joseph competed for Division 1 Marist College in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. He has completed a total of 9 marathons, including the Boston Marathon. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Marist College and a masters degree in Secondary Education from the University of Bridgeport. During his tenure at New Milford High School, Joseph developed a very competitive girls track program. Joseph has coached numerous athletes that have qualified and medaled at the State of Connecticut Championships and New England Championships in both indoor and outdoor track. Under his guidance, Joseph has coached 16 different athletes to the New Balance National Championships.
